Becoming a Virtual Realtor

How do you become a virtual real estate agent or broker? Well it’s easy, in fact, you might already be one.

Many real estate companies have adopted the virtual real estate office model because of the sheer savings compared to the high cost of having a brick and mortar office. Premier Agent Network has adopted this model and is passing the saving down to the real estate associates, giving real estate agents 100 percent commission. Most agents work from home and only go to the real estate office every once in a while. If you see the value in eliminating needless overhead such as high commission splits to the brokerage just to have access to an office you hardly ever go to, you’re a virtual realtor.

If you own a car, a computer, have a cell phone, have access to a printer/scanner/fax/copier, and have access to a Starbucks or lockbox key to a property, you’re a virtual realtor. More people are mobile now days and it’s not uncommon to see these activities. The world is headed to more convenience and mobility than ever before and it’s time to take advantage of these tools.

If you only show up on occasion to meet a client or two at a traditional real estate brokerage office, meet your client at a Starbucks or your buyer at the house they want to see, or go to the seller’s house for a listing appointment, you are a virtual realtor. Let’s face it, more people are searching online to buy a house versus driving around or going to a real estate office to get a list of homes to view. How many walk-ins have you had recently? Exactly, it is not enough to cover the cost of the lease payment every month. Let’s put that money towards advertising and drive more business that way.
